A small perferation in the lower bowls.

A pocket formed and then an Infection. AND due to less nerves in that part of the body, was not noticeable untill a bit advanced.

5 days of IV Antibiotics b4 they consider letting me leave. BETTER safe i guess but am climbing the walls...

Can not wait to get out and about.

Good luck. Just take it easy and do what the nurses tell you.

Sit back and recover, my brother had a similar thing happen, f......ed him up good an proper, colostomy bag for nearly two years, two major ops to rejoin the bowel and anus.
Take it easy and recover fully, good luck with your recovery.

Fingers crossed.. try to do the right thing but nothing that is a clear trigger. Other than i am a high risk of this particular health issue..

Back in the early 90's,
Started to feel a bit crook. :|
Running a slight temperature, Funny metallic taste
in my mouth, Not Hungry.
When I don't eat, I am crook. 8)
Pain started and nearly keeled me over but it settled down
that afternoon.
Next day went to work.
Pain hit that bad it caused me to drop screaming.
Went to hospital and they thought I had appendicitis.
Couple of hours later the laughing gas had no effect.
Neither did a light dose of Morphine.
Surgeon got the ultrasound out and had a look around after 4 other
doctors were stuffed what was going on.
1/2 an hour later with emergency surgery, I was split open and
a section of my small bowel was twisted. Plus I had my appendix
out. After that it was a fortnight in Hospital and 2 months of work.
He reckoned I only had about an hour to go until it ruptured.
Consider myself to be very lucky to be here. :Y: :Y:

Even though that was freaking painful,
It had nothing on the bowel episode.
5 hours of screwed up with my knees up around
my chest.
It felt like a hot knife being driven into my stomach.
And even that may not hurt as much.

Yep, gallstones are pretty bad. That torsion must have been painful if it was worse!
