Just been doing a few air tests on the Deus with a half-sovereign, and I thought it might be useful to post up some readings from the three available frequencies. Due to being airtests, these numbers may well vary when in the ground by a few digits, but at least it gives you a ballpark figure to work on. :)

10cm distance from 11" coil, using fulltones, ID Norm turned off.

17.3 kHz
ID: 70-71(mainly 71) with occasional 72

11.7 kHz
ID: 61-62 (mainly 62) with occasional 63

7.8 kHz
ID: 52-53 occasional 51,54. A lot more variance in ID than the other two frequencies, probably due to 7.8 kHz favouring high conductors.

Interestingly, the Deus could still get diggable tones up 35cm from the 11" coil, set on 17.3 kHz, 95 sensitivity, and reactivity set on 2, though the ID was long gone by then. Pretty impressive on such a small low conductor coin, even if an airtest. Get it at angle or on edge in the ground, or in highly mineralised soil, and it will be a different story. :)
