This is my PB Golden Trevally. As you can see was a horrible rough and windy day
Don't know how big this one was as I got a little bit excited and released it before measuring it. But im 5'9" so its gotta be around the meter mark.
What was really funny is after rigging up the other people in the boat I started boasting "now its time to out fish you guys". As a steady flow of nice bottom fish were being boated without me even wetting a line.
Luckily I was using the big guns. A Shimano TLD20 on the rod it came with as a package. The rods are a piece of junk avoid em if you can. The rig was my standard 80lb mono paternoster. The reel is loaded with 80lb braid. Did someone say overkill ? Also just for a laugh I put on my little leather belt gimbal. I call it my 'man-gina'. Luckily I was using the big set up as these things pull like nothing else ! Harder than sharks, big cod and any nannygai.
