although interesting , its not a claim to fame . there has been hundreds of people in the lineage who worked hard , attained various things in their life and created a space for the offspring to do likewise.

My father's side of the family had strong presence in the early Coromandel gold rushes. Going to have a look around for the location of the familys bigger claims soon as their stamping battery is supposed to be still there rusting away up in the bush.
Unfortunately for outsiders the area is associated with sightings of the Moehou Man which as the family stories go are a bigger nastier version of a Yowie with a taste for human flesh.
