Custom sand scoop

I know someone with a Waterjet and am going to have a go at making my own sand scoop.

Just wondering what you guys use and what you like about it and what you would change on it if anything?
Is stainless better than alloy?
What size holes and would you prefer them smaller or larger?
What angle is the handle on and would you prefer it less or more angled?

I use a short handled anodized steel ( goes rusty where it wears down slightly )sand scoop,... the front lip on mine could have been a little thicker to handle digging out rocks as well ( but it straightens back out ok each time ),... just make sure a threepence can't go through the holes ( that's the hole size minimum limiter ) and you will be on a winner.
