Does anyone here actually sell there stones?
How do you determine a stones value and who would you sell to?

Lol Richo! But really, is there somewhere you can take them for valuations?

There is a couple of people on eBay who sell Australian sapphires. Crazy prices, but they are selling them if you check feedback.
There is a couple of websites, just google sapphire rough or cut stones.
Also find a jeweler who will look at your stones.
Have you found more..?

Very subjective question at best, they are actually worth what someone will pay more than anything I guess. A rough guide would be $100 to $1500ct depending on cut, carat, colour and clarity.

I havn't tried selling any yet, I'd like to though at some stage when I have a nice collection of faceted stones.

A gemologist would be able to certify and value them for you.

Hi Spud try ACT Gold and Gems in Braddon, I haven't seen them yet, I think the Gentleman's name is Jim.

I spoke to him the other day about valuations etc and I will be seeing him soon. Your looking about $35 a stone plus $10 per K after that

Cheers
