Garmin eTrax 20 Line across screen

I have and use a Garmin eTrax 20 handheld GPS. Pretty good unit for detecting support. Haven't been out for a while and when I got it out to change/charge batteries I noticed a bold grey line running left to right in the centre of the display screen. I have done nothing to the unit since I...

I received an email purporting to be from NAPFA that says Minelab and BDO are conducting a survey of prospectors. You click on a link in the email and it takes you to a page where you are asked to provide information such as name, email etc and then submit that and wait for a return email for...

I have finally made it to Alaska and had two panning sessions so far..one at Girdwood, Indian River Mine area south of Anchorage and one panning session just near a disused bucket line dredge near Fairbanks Alaska. On this day in 1854 Eureka Stockade attacked

On this day in 1854, police and soldiers attacked the miners at Eureka Stockade. 22 Miners killed and 5 police killed. Not much has changed...the government now controls us with Acts and Regulations instead of bullets and batons. At least we modern day Diggers live to continue the struggle.

DC voltage drop over long wires to bilge pump

G'day guys, I have just set up a bilge pump (1150GPH) with about 8 Metres (fused) of cable between the pump and the Anderson plug that I can connect to my 100 Ampere hour deep cycle battery. Home made blue bowl

Following advice from some other forum members, I have finally completed a home-made blue(and red) bowl. Blue bowl tub was from the local camping store $8...red funnels were from hardware store $3 and tap fittings were about $3. Silicon was already on hand. Probably going to run this with a...

Many of us 'newbies' read many posts to try and work out what sort of gear we need and roughly how much is an OK market rate to pay for stuff we buy. Some of also want to 'buy Australian' so we can support other 'diggers' in the industry. I have just done a purchase from an Australian...
