Love my 9" but i have the same problem, its so bloody bump sensitive, running it on my GPX 4000 Sensitivity is good, but my vintage sadie is a much hotter coil with none of the bump noise.

I have experienced this fresh hell, I purchased mine used in December, every swing the bloody annoying flop from side to side.. Mine was fixed by purchasing some replacement Camlock levers. https://parts.minelab.com/8008-0061-p/8008-0061.htm Hope this helps.

What is the minelab equivalent to these: it compares well to my GP 3500 and GPX 4000 Will they find small gold? (Yes) How small?: My smallest bit found with the QED is 0.193g with the 9" elite coil.

Hey Mick, not sure who actually modified the detector I purchased it from a guy in Canberra, I paid $1600, It had two 3 position switches, and 3 knobs installed on the front panel. other than that it looked completely stock. My distaste for it came about due to using either of the two switches...

Sold my level 3 about 4 years ago, imo they don't compare to even a gpx 4000 let alone a 4500.. very unimpressive detectors. but thats just my experience.

mAh doesn't matter, its just the batteries capacity. as long as they are all 3.7v 18650 you're all good (4.2v when @ full charger) Like mentioned above, majority of the 18650s going cheap with ratings of 4000+mAh are complete BS.. Samsung have always been my go to 18650.

Against a TDI Oz series i bought in 2016, and Whites SPP i purchased earlier this year. Nothing at all wrong with either the TDI or TDI SL machines, they're damn good, but the QED has the depth and sensitivity advantages in my experience.

No comparison, the QED smokes the TDI in depth and sensitivity, bit more fiddly to operate at times.

I bought my goldstalker last year, i believe they're still being made. thought you may have to have one ordered in.

Coiltek elite 14" is a mono, though coiltek make a 14" DD (goldstalker) damn good coil too, my old man runs the 14" Elite mono on his GP Extreme (in tracking) fixed can get iffy real noisy. Don't have any experience with the detech 15" but plenty of reviews on youtube, though most are done...

Yes, Concentric search coils work, but they are NOT good, very poor sensitivity, performance is not great. I was told this by Brian Skinn and Reg on the official QED FB Group.

Have to agree, I wish i had the field time with it, that i do with my gpx.

minelab, fisher, whites, Nokta, Anything by any of these companies will do the job. Minelab Gold Monster, Equinox 800, Fisher Gold Bug 2, Whites 24k or GMT if you can find one, Nokta Gold Kruzer. Gold Racer, Au Gold Finder... all good options. Personally my go to VLF has always been the Fisher...
