    Tiniitus and detector noises

I also suffer from tinnitus and run an SDC and a 7000. When I use earphones they seem to overpower any tinnitus, but it would depend on the nature of the affliction.

Camping Checklist - you might like to use it or add your own.

Looks like the attachment didn't work so here goes again.

Camping Checklist - you might like to use it or add your own.

Phil, I agree with your approach 100% and have been able to manage several serious unplanned issues, while traveling either for myself or others because of having done so. I use a general high-level document and then flesh out the details in a multi-page checklist matrix, where the amounts and...

    Living with Electric Vehicles

About a week or so ago a Porche E vehicle was used as the lead vehicle for a bicycle event of about 260km and the Porche had a stated range of well over 400km, so all should be sweet. BUT the bicycle event was in mountains and by the time it got to the finish on the top of one of the mountains...

    CEO Salaries.

I stopped using my local WW unless I can't get the item at Coles or Aldi. Why? Because a few years ago, over several months I got home with mouldy cheese, bakery items and other goods. So when the shopping centre expanded and added an Aldi and a Coles, bam, that is where I go. Simples. Rob P.

    Suss Clearance sale

It is NYC USA based, so forget for Oz purchase. I just ordered a EU30is for work, from here in Melb for $3,799 inc GST, and that was a discounted price. Also ordered a EU70is as well and they were $7,800. They are expensive, but good machines especially if you give them a bit of care. We...

What is the average age of Detectorists in your home ?

When I had son and grandson living here it would have been 53, but now just me in the household, and 80 this year "I hope". Rob P.

    Coffee in the Bush

I believe mine is the 1.6L one. It's so long since I got it, but it isn't the small one and I don't think it is the big one either. A handy bit of kit, and just need a few small sticks to get it rocking, but fire restrictions limit the times it is used. Rob P.

Well, it still seems to not be working properly. The 2 received earlier must have been a lucky couple. Good thing I have a backup Email account with a different provider. Rob P.

    West Australia related

While it seems that the Iinet services are back online, it also seems like they are bogged down due to the 2 days of pending Email transaction requests. I got a couple of Emails an hour or so ago, but no more action since then and I know I have other incoming Emails. Rob P.

I am also impacted in Melbourne, but I must admit this is the first time that I have noticed an outage in 15+ years, BUT I only noted it this time because of this post on the forum, and it could have happened in the past. Rob P.

    Cooper tyres

I am on my second set of BFG's, I swapped the first set because of age not issues, at 120,000km. You will often find that issues that people report with different brands have often contributed to the issues by the way that they were used. Rob P.

Tracks cut into the hills Ovens Valley, Victoria

Are they where there have been pine plantations, as they made short tracks to allow people and gear to get access to initially plant and then later harvest the pines. Where exactly in the Ovens valley as I was born and brought up in that area and some photos may help as suggested earlier. Rob P.

Tracks cut into the hills Ovens Valley, Victoria

Tracks like that were used in the early days to collect and direct water to where it is wanted. Then and now they are used to reduce erosion by stopping water from running quickly straight down a hill and directing it sideways to slow it down. This was often just a furrow ploughed across the...

    Today I BOUGHT

I think that the way it works is from a mix of friction and pressure, which creates spontaneous combustion, in the char cloth. Rob P.

    What are your other hobbies??

Makka, I like making and fixing (some) things and have a series of sayings that sort sums me up to an extent. Two of them are - 1. If someone else can do it then I will have a go at it, but don't ask me to do open-heart surgery. And yes I have repaired an old mantel clock many years ago, but I...
