Okay all, I got my detector back from Minelab and they just switched the PCB over for a brand new one as it is more cost effective that way. Good service and i'm pleased to report it works fine. 4 hours detecting for 4 bits of gold at just on 0.7grams.

The amount of bird shot included in that total is amazing from day to day. My worst total was well over 130 holes dug for 1 piece of gold weighing 0.2 grams. My best ratio was 20 pieces of gold at 4.8 grams with 3 pieces of lead and no junk. Stuff that dreams are made of really.

I found my biggest piece yesterday at 3.3 grams with the sdc 2300. Before that it was a piece of 0.8grams which I thought was pretty big. My total finds since a year of prospecting is 82 pieces for 16 grams. Not very impressive but great fun.
