Hey guys, I was recently in the market for some of the aluminium classifying sieves and found the cheapest at Australian Camping Quartermaster's in Enoggera. I found the same brand at Anaconda for $89 so it was a :money: good saving..! Link below...

Hey Sandbagger, I also recently got Gold Rat and saw they have leg kits that with a few drilled holes fits all of their sluice's. The legs will allow you to situate the sluice in a river in about 80cm depth :) @Aussiedigs thanks for the Bunnings link :) saved me a bit of Googling.

I only this week got myself a Gold Rat 888 (with the classifier add-on) and planning on hitting Gympie which is the only place I've found yet with running water.. Warwick is DRY :) Anyway what drop rate have you all found to be the best?

Hey all, Been following the forum for a few weeks and it's been a great source of research for the areas around Warwick. Also the tip regarding AeroGuard to keep the ticks away THANK YOU.! I'm yet to get anything but remaining positive :) I also enjoy learning the history of the old timers...

Welcome to PA I'm new also. Regarding the ticks try using an Aeroguard with 40% Deet :) it kept them at bay..

Hey gents, I've recently gotten back into fossicking for gold after doing it as a young fella many years ago. Anyway I tried Thanes Creek a few weekend and only saw two specs in two seperate pans.. got any tips where I'm going wrong? Cheers
