    Wookiee's treasure

I collect coins and I always look through my change for coins to stick in the collection. I come across heaps of the $1 with the pictures. For some reason I don't find many 50c coins besides the standard ones tho. I have to ask Ramjet..... where does the term "Touch the frog" in your signature...

Minelab Pro Find 25 tips, settings, question

The one you had sounds exactly like mine Goldpick. Only difference with the one I had is if you put even the tiniest pressure on the end or sides of the probe it would start beeping and when you removed the pressure it would continue beeping. So I think there must have been a short or something...

Minelab Pro Find 25 tips, settings, question

Thanks sa_bogan. I noticed in the destruction manual it said to keep it away from metal when u turn it on so i have been doing so. Took it back to the store and they exchanged it so all good. Will see how the new one goes.

Minelab Pro Find 25 tips, settings, question

I recently bought a Minelab Pro Find 25 pinpointer and have been having probems with it. Sometimes I turn it on and it won't pick up metal at all. I try locating the target and it doesn't beep or vibrate, but the light is on. I found this out when I went to locate a target and as I was moving...

    Wookiee's treasure

I found them on ebay from a guy in QLD. $130 for the scoop and $30 postage. Cost me more for postage as I am on the other side of AUS, but if you are on the east coast it should be the standard postage charge. The seller was very helpful and prompt in sending it etc...

    Wookiee's treasure

I am using one of those plastic Cyclone shovels with holes drilled in it at the moment. I have a sand scoop on the way though. The plastic shovel is great for the dry sand, but its a pig to dig in damp sand with. That big squid jig looking sinker thing was in damp sand and took ages to dig...

    Wookiee's treasure

Went out this morning for a couple of hours. Found this lot. The small sinkers were close to the surface, but the big one was about 2 feet down. Took some digging to find it lol The 50c is a Centenary of Federation and the $1 is an Outback coin. Loving the new 15" Coiltek coil. Covers a...

    Sluices illegal in Western Australia?

So the only real option is dry blowers? Or dig and dry pan or detecting?

    Sluices illegal in Western Australia?

I did a search on the forum, but can't find a definite yes or no to my query. Just wondering if sluicing for gold is legal in W.A (highbankers etc)? From reading the regulations I am guessing no because its mechanical. Would that be correct?
