So yeah i was quite a fool thinking that i would be able to pay my detector off in gold shortly when i bought it in 2019 😂 but nah i love this hobby and its one of the best things i've discovered getting out into nature and the hunt for gold is like nothing else.
BUT i would honestly love to...
haha just saw i made this thread, you guys were right about a new coil not being the issue not finding gold. only found 3 more pieces since i made this post. I must be detecting the wrong places o_O i think i should stop wasting my time up at heathcote, i always leave there not even finding...
Ive been detecting for around 2 years and something Im still not entirely familiar with is gold bearing ground that is not just near or, on old diggings the only gold Ive ever found has always been on or very near old diggings.
My question is say in WA Ive seen lots of people just detecting...
Thanks a lot mate, great info and very helpful. Yeah its a hard choice, eventually. Im sure I will have them all but money is a little tight atm. Was concidering selling the 15 but think it might be worth keeping it and persisting in the right ground. Just be nice to have the edge on sub...
It could very well be in running rx and stab way to high. Looking back Ive had rx gain around 8-9 and Stab usually well above 10. Ill try to dial it right back and let you guys know how it goes. Was losing my mind a couple days ago thought I was in the hottest ground Id come across, signals left...
Hey guys,
Im looking to get either of these soon-ish and hopefully over time have them all in my Arsenal. Originally I bought the 15 Evo but I find it very noisy for my liking and have a hard time pinpointing with it not to mention the terrain makes it hard to move around sticks constantly...
I think it may be worth investing in one. Gold on all your outings! how do you do it :argh: I swear i do everything right but hardly come home with a spec of gold. I always blame where i go as being "flogged" but thats just trying to make myself feel better :playful: I don't have a 4x4 (cx5) so...
After 2 years detecting with my 4500 and 5 or so sub grammars Mostly picked up with the 11 commander and 1 with the 15 evo. Im goldless 95% of my trips out which is all fine but would be nice finding even the tiniest bit of gold Id be happy with on most trips.
My question is will a Sadie give...
I try to get out as much as I can and do wish I lived a bit closer to the golden triangle. Always a good 1.30 hour drive for me so usually end up camping the night.
Had this coil for little over a year now and used it a dozen times but wow do I struggle with this coil coming from a 11 commander. No matter what settings I try even lowering rx gain below 8 sometimes I can never get it to run smooth. Either giving me constant false sounds or emi like a siren...
Touch wood, I have been very lucky and in my 3 years detecting not once have I seen a snake! My theory is most of the gold areas tend to be quite dry and lifeless. Where have you seen them?
