Will get one soon and post Silver...also found a cross with Jesus on the cross on the front and on the back side it has DZ MISSION on the vertical and SOUVENIER on the cross arms..I think it may be bronze or something like that as it is not rusty...does anyone know what it might be I think it...
I found a 1817 shilling the other day in the same area that I found a 1861 halfpenny about 25 years ago....it is worn a fair bit on the reverse side. It was sitting just under the surface layer of dirt...got it with the xterra 305

I tried soaking the modern silvers 50c 20c etc in white vinegar ...soaked them for a few days then cleaned them in water with a few drops of washing up detergent using a stainless steel scourer ...came up very clean.... some of the real dirty ones needed a couple more days in the vinegar...
