    Australian History

Yes! Nice one Duck :) It wasn't until December 1914 that Australian surfing history is to have officially begun when the legendary Hawaiian Olympic champion, Duke Kahanamoku, re-introduced the sport of surfing to Australia. He was invited to give a surfboard riding exhibition, and promptly...

    Australian History

I should mention that the first person in question is an American. Medals were won in 1912 - 1xgold 1xsilver, 1920 - 2xGold and 1924 1xSilver I'll give some more clues if that doesn't help :)

    Lunch money bandit strikes again!

Well another Saturday and another local high school plundered. Awesome day, the time passes so quick when you're on a roll. Today I bagged: *Six .925 rings. 21g total. 5 small ladies rings with cheapo looking stones and a nice chunky man ring that I'm wearing right now. *Two plain junk rings...

    Local high school hunt

Yeah L/R definitely an area where coins were plentiful. The half of the footy field closest to the main school buildings. I remembered from school days that you don't play end to end as it's too far to run for quick lunchtime games. Usually setup a smaller field and run sideline to sideline...

    Local high school hunt

Upgraded from el jaycar cheapo to a Minelab X-terra 305 last week and pretty much spent the weekend at the local high school. I love the x-terra and have pretty much dialled it in for school oval mode. I cut out all the lower frequency signals so I don't have to dig the pull tabs and I'm pretty...

    2013 finds Land Rover

Pretty amazing gold to silver coin ratio. That picnic are looks definitely well used. Did you find many coins around tables, benches etc. along with the ring pulls? I tend to steer clear of those places when there's a shipload of targets.

    Hey Diggers!

Hi all Well i finally fulfilled a long forgotten childhood dream and bought a metal detector. I've got a bit of spare time on my hands so I thought I'd put it to good use. I'm a bit cash strapped, hopefully not for too much longer ;) so I only bought the cheapest detector on the market, the...
