Well so far the reviews indicate the machine can get the tiny stuff down to 1 grain no depth tests on bigger nuggets yet. Looks like it is gonna sell around 3999.99 usd. Sounds like a decent little machine, but I will keep my gpx6000.

Older coils were bundle wound leitz wire. Maybe 5-6 yrs ago flatwire spiral wound hit the market for the gpx 4000, 4500, 5000. The flatwire coils can be as much as 3" deeper on nuggets over older bundle wound coils.

Besides the nugget pi in the works with Fisher, there is supposed to be a new multi freq simultanious Fisher coin/jewelry detector on the way soon. Kinda late in the game but if it works it will be welcomed.

Ridgerunner, I agree with you, EV is ok for suburban/city travel, maybe day to day driver with in 40-50 miles, but when it comes to prospectors, and towing heavy loads, EV fails dismally, range diminishes to under 90 miles on a charge, pretty useless for me. We are caught in a huge squeeze now...

Flatwire wound coils win out every time on smaller gold, I noticed I am now getting porous gold as well where I wasn't with oem gpx coils.

I also hear Garrett is going to produce small parts for the older machines such as batt boxes, etc. This came from the factory in a call. I hope the whites lineup will be produced again by Garrett, time will tell.

Since the gpx6000 gets 3/4 grain nuggets all way up to retirement nuggets with one setting, I would say GeoSense has to be a group of timings being scanned all the time to process signals. No other way your gonna get grain size nuggets and gram to ounce to bigger nuggets all with one swing...

Looks like we will have to hope the aftermarket coils guys can build us some Flatwire coils for the new GPX. Too bad it couldn't have used our old gpx coils. That coil connector is way different than the pins on the old gpx. I won't be buying til I see some flatwire coils available for it. If...

The GPX6000 appears to be built on the same format as a Gold Monster, 10 manual settings 2 auto settings, auto emi, auto Gb, what a great idea! Can't wait for some on the ground reviews I trust.
