    wet sand

    I have a Minelab 305 with the standard 9" , 7.5 kHz coil, I have a had a few searches at the beach on dry sand with great success, however, when I get into wet sand I get a lot of false targets reading (-4) which on my machine is IRON, ....my question is - what coil would I need to successfully...

    Mornington Peninsula Metal Detecting Club

    I'd be interested to just find areas on the peninsula to try my luck......beaches and footy ovals are good , but Id like to find old maps so I can see any homesteads that are now gone.

    Hello all, newbie here. Just getting into metal detecting as Ive always wanted to do it. Bought myself a cheap MD. Minelab X-terra 305 and a Minelab PRO-FIND 25 Pinpointer. Have so far found $6.32 in coins and a 1950 sixpence....would love to learn more and discover some good spots down this...
