Yep, so much easier to just call it a snake, and keep well away. When I'm out detecting I don't need the added hassle of fitting my snakebite kit and driving to a hospital.

But I can take my SDC down to the same park and find $1 and $2, and then go to a place where I can find gold. And if tgere are subframes, then there might be bigger.....

Thanks Kingswood, for that info. I haven't seen Happy Prospector but had worked out how to bring Tenements from GeoView into my Hema. Sounds like an easier idea.

A question for the group. I've been reading a number of books, like Doug Stone's Metal Detecting for Gold in Australia, and some others, where the writer talks about driving miles and miles in the bush, from one Jump Up to the next looking for those telltale signs of gold, and searching for gold...

I really like the MINDAT one because it seems realistic, like what you can see at the site, while the TENGRAPH stuff is harder to interpret. Oh well, I guess i just review TEN for a likely, check it on MINDAT, and plan between the two.
