    Snake sightings, encounters and reminders.

Yep, so much easier to just call it a snake, and keep well away. When I'm out detecting I don't need the added hassle of fitting my snakebite kit and driving to a hospital.

    Coiltek Goldhawk 10x5 Review

But I can take my SDC down to the same park and find $1 and $2, and then go to a place where I can find gold. And if tgere are subframes, then there might be bigger.....

Beginners Detecting Mistake..."Walking away from gold too soon."

Nice words Goldie. And now, a hundred odd years since the old blokes walked the ground, your idea to walk 10m off the quartz vein is definitely a plan for me from now on.

WA Western Australia Information and Questions

Thanks Kingswood, for that info. I haven't seen Happy Prospector but had worked out how to bring Tenements from GeoView into my Hema. Sounds like an easier idea.

WA Western Australia Information and Questions

A question for the group. I've been reading a number of books, like Doug Stone's Metal Detecting for Gold in Australia, and some others, where the writer talks about driving miles and miles in the bush, from one Jump Up to the next looking for those telltale signs of gold, and searching for gold...

    Additional Prospecting help Websites

Third attempt at a reply. It keeps losing my posts??? I agree, was just another tool I've found is all. Yep, Tengraph, Geoview WA can show the Geological Imagery/1:100,1000 Mosaic, and sure Czl is one of the ways to find gold. But I also like this one because by double clicking on a likely area...

    Additional Prospecting help Websites

Hi, I've trawled all your helpful posts on good sites, and have found this one. macrostrat.org Which is the underlay for MINDAT geology, except you can also do satellite and other overlays. I haven't tested it much yet, but thought it might be useful. It also has an Android/iPhone app Rockd...

    GEOVIEW vs MINDAT Geology Views

I really like the MINDAT one because it seems realistic, like what you can see at the site, while the TENGRAPH stuff is harder to interpret. Oh well, I guess i just review TEN for a likely, check it on MINDAT, and plan between the two.

    GEOVIEW vs MINDAT Geology Views

Hiyas, I am reviewing some locations in WA for my next EPIC Prospecting Trip, and can't seem to make GEOVIEW/TENGRAPH WEB show me the same GEOLOGY as MINDAT. BTW, I am loving MINDAT, especially reading about the ground around a particular mine, for example, but when i review GEO/Tengraph the...

    G'day from Tich

Ok, I have my SDC2300 and have been practicing around SA, with only a bit of success (1 piece of gold 3g, and a couple of pieces of lead.) I have been researching on Tengraph (WA), and GEOVIC (Victoria), and have some nice spots to plan to attack out there. Now to actually drive to WA and walk...
