I for one i am going to be doing better pricing on this unit, well as good as i can anyway, I have been told that after the conference next month, american companies importing Garrett into Australia will be penalized, i for one hope that goes though as fisher have done recently. regards jason

if you found one for $700 i would get it, and then just buy a new set of water proof head phones, both of mine are less then a year old and 1 has been rented out 5 times the other 7 so i would take a few hundred of retail but no where near what you are looking at, i would get that one for $700...

i do have underwater head phones, but i am not selling any of my infinium for $700 as they less then a year old

That is the video on their new detector, it will be released here and the states at the same time. at the end of next month i was told.

I agree defiantly go PI, i wasn't saying buy a VLF because that would be a mistake for Mainly gold hunting, whatever detector you choose, you will have fun with, getting into the hobby is the best part of it, and buy what ever detector you can afford, Minelab and garret both have great detectors...

That's not always true, i have found a gold nugget in Gympie 0.7gram 6 or 7 inch deep with my AT gold, and gympie is not the worst place you can go for hot rock but it still has a fair bit, and the infinium is no match for a GPX series detector for features, but it will still find gold the same...

Hi Paleo, the diagram on the top is just an indicator, did you get the detector from the states or from Australia? you will have top learn the tones of different types of coins, it is all a learning curve. feel free to ask lots of questions there should be allot of people that have to answer...
