The good old crocks have been my foot wear recently. After trying on a pair of ridiculously slippery non-grip gumboots, I refused to wear them again... Any one mind sharing there footwear when prospecting ? Hand gear as well ? Much Appreciated Joel

I found a lot of black sand after digging 3 foot down into a dried out river bed (ancient riverbed), no gold though. The river bed is about 150 meters up from the big flat bedrock. But just because there is black sand doesn't mean their is gold... right ? And I can't find any historical entries...

2nd day around, still no signs of gold. Does this location look like a good gold area or am I wasting my time ? Regards Joel

I hope these photos work. It shows the mineralised ground, the bedrock I have been panning out and either clay or iron of some sort that was spread through out divots and cracks of the bedrock. Much Appreciated Joel
