Thanks Goldrocs,
Think I'm going to leave the Highbanker at home this time and concentrate on crevicing and sluicing. The area around the old gold mill looks like a prime spot for a bit of crevicing.
Hi all,
Just wondering if some of you more experienced prospectors out there could give me a little advice. The other day I found a relatively 'unflogged' area of a river with a mixture of large rocks, exposed bedrock and gravel bars etc. I found this one really large piece of rock on the bank...
So I gather it's still o.k. to run the High Banker at the usual spot where everybody goes next to the bridge etc? It would be a shame to lose Oallen Forde.
Went out to explore some new prospects today. I'd heard that gold had been found along the Lachlan river by the old timers. Went out to test at Newarra Bridge and at first glance it looked perfect. Lots of crevicing areas, lots of quartz and black sand and most importantly... Not one single hole...
Hi
Just wondering if anybody has done any exploring and test panning on Nana creek near Coffs Harbour, seems there was a lot of gold found there in the old days.
It's flooding down here in Goulburn at the moment, and I think its a similar story elsewhere in NSW as well. I hope everybody stays safe and the floods produce lots of new flood gold for us all!!!
Are there any places to have a sluice and pan near Goulburn besides Oallen and Tuena? I'm looking for ideas and any suggestions would be much appreciated.
