The update on the cheap sand scoop.
It works well. I'm sure its identical to the $100 plus units. Probably from the same factory. I've used it in salt water a couple of times with no wash off afterwards and there's no sign of any corrosion.
A wood handle from Bunnings works well.
I found I needed a right angle handle halfway down the main handle to make it easier to pull back when digging and to shake out the sand. I just made one up from some scrap metal and tapped it M8 to suit an old 4 inch grinder handle I had laying around.
