Got out yesterday & ran them for around 7hrs (units were left on for the whole day regardless of detecting, travelling between spots, having smoko etc.). The internal battery lasted over that time & they still turn on today without the low battery warning coming up so still have some charge left yet. Guessing I'll get fuller days in without a problem. Found the same as Lee - they will break up a bit if you get in between them but once you sort out positioning for finding dug out targets they are no problem. Didn't have much if any issue while detecting mainly just retrieving targets. Had the RX hooked up to a LH380 amp/speaker & it worked well on it. Good sound & no noticeable lag at all. Found 3 x small ones using it - one I picked up under leaf litter was only 0.06 gram so no probs hearing or finding it. As with anything the biggest test now will be time used & how long they keep working in this type of use. They're not what you'd call robust being quite small + light but looked after a bit should be ok. Definitely good to get rid of the cord :D
