Couple of hunts rolled together
Penny Lane has continued with a penny (or half penny) a visit. Also another location where the buckles, cosmetics containers and NZ coinage came from.

Penny Lane had a small Pepper shaker

And silver ring 925 and locket marked silver on back. Ring was a nice solid 26 at 2 inches but the locket surprised me

Then there was my second silver ever a 5 pence :playful: (at least it was the lawn mower and not me) and a strange brace

Interesting that the bracelet has pictures of soldiers in armor on every scene and some interesting pictures with them including a lion in a cage and a windmill.

Any ideas what this could be or where from?

Managed a couple of hours today with a few nice finds
1633075820_jubilee_and_six_pence_1_oct.jpg

The crusty one on the right is actually a two dollar coin. The round bit of aluminum got got me excited when i saw the shine in the hole but nothing on it.
49 Penny
41, 43 Half pennies and the last one is before 1939 but cant tell which George or get a date off of it.
Diamond is copper but again cant see any detail on it.

Most interesting find are the top right
Written on the copper is
South Australia's Jubilee
Adelaide Jubilee exhibition
June 1887

Been a while since I have been out.

Must have been a jewellery day as I got the necklace and the greek style band in the same day. Another short hunt and the two pennies and half penny.

Another 20 minute hunt in a different location between the footpath and the fence produced a 50c, dog name tag (with an address nearby on the back) and then what i think is a silver ring but no stamping on it.
ring north adeliade.jpg

Last hunt back around the penny lane location pulled at 18X7 half penny. 28mm diameter and can just make out the bottom of Vicky so likely to be '57 as in the '60's they went down to 25mm diameter. Only an inch down in front of a park bench, must have been distrubed when they put the bench in?
half.jpg penny.jpg just see the 7 down the bottom as the silvery bit

Went out for a hunt the other night, not much to find expect cans, cans, cans. Moved location slighting and managed to at least get back into some predecimals. '42 and '44. Will have to get back out again soon to see what else is in that area

Found this panel bracelet for you Windar. It's a depiction of the Don Quixote novel by Migel de Cervantes (that's his face on the oval panel). Possibly a souvenir bracelet sold in Mancha, Spain. The panel bracelets were popular as souvenirs in France too. They were sold at the Eiffel tower with pics of the tower on the panels in the 1930's. Not sure of the age of this one you found, but possibly around then to mid 1900's.

Cheers,
Megsy
