I'd love to see some of the members personal favourite finds, or hear about them.

I had a real hard time picking mine, so I don't mind if you post more than one :)

I personally love my two buttons the most, the intrigue if how they got where I found them, and the history they must have seen.

Then my first good coin, 1875 Penny with nice detail.

And this pendant.

Please feel free to brag, I'd love to see yours 8)

Wow! They are awesome finds GallicProspector.

They make my finds look like modern day items :)

That's cool Scoopa, it's nice to know there are coins that old in Aus to find.

It's a toss up between my first nuggets or this 1846 Shilling, I like to think it was probably dropped by one of the very first of the miners in the Sofala region, it's in surprisingly good condition with fluting intact so is not very worn at all and was not in circulation long. The Goldrush there started around 1850 I think. Same 1846 coins have fetched around 300GBP at auction. 4 031 280 minted.

My old lock is a favorite. Not quite as exciting as some things you've shown here but we've searched thousands of locks on the internet without a match.

This old hatpin came from the same region that was last settled in the late 1890's.

Perhaps somebody can identify my egg found on top of a sparsely vegetated ironstone ridge a hundred kilometres north of Kalgoorlie.
