I took It to a gold nugget buyer who tested It on one of those XRF? machines, and said It was 98-99% gold. I wanted 20% over spot for It, but he didn't want to pay that much, so I kept it. It was covered In pipeclay when I found it. It had no impurities in it whatsoever. I just washed it, and that's how It cleaned up. I reckon It must have been a throwout, as It was In the pipeclay, not in the wash where It should have been. wiley.
