using a magnet on sluice

Hi guys and girls, Just watching some vids on YouTube,and was thinking of running some strong magnets in my High Banker, just wounding if anyone has tried this to get rid of some of the black sands, it would make for a easier clean up,maybe??

Any thoughts????

I wouldn't waste my time rhino ....most of the black sand isn't magnetic and it won't save you any "real" time in the long run...spend the money for the magnets on petrol for the high banker instead ...only my view...Cheers Wal.

i have also seen some vids and they do seem to catch a lot of the black sand i would be worried about gold that would get caught up with it and pan it away.some of the vids they just scrap it on to the ground. you can get some magnets of ebay for a few dollars with free post
