I was watching a fellow clean silver cutlery the other day on utube using warm water with bicarb inside an alfoil lined dish.
The observation there was that you had to be holding onto the cutlery(which wasn't anything like this coin in the way of filth) to get the the cleaning affect happening below the liquid surface , as you Rubbed the cutlery against the foil base.

Had to go to the shops..... here's the florrie after after I got back

So now I've gone back into the lemon again until it's done.

Done.... enough !

Better leave a little for someone else to do in the future

Ended off with just dry bi carb... so'se I could force it into the low spots without it slurrying out too easily.

Could say this coins almost been Rubbed up the wrong way lol

Not cleaned at all..... no sir ee`

Just..... almost restored. :p

Thanks Dave..... we only restorate coins though, we should never clean them they recon :p
No one wants a Cleaned coin, but if the restoration looks good enough they may be happier :D
(May be a little sanding damage there, and you could feel the alfoil rolling around the bigger bits of crud as they let go..... so mayhap one could take more care and time if the crud looks large enough to let go in solid chunks as big as grains of sand). (And the lemon juice dried off fairly quickly once it was removed from the lemon itself... so maybe a small bowl of lemon juice for redipping during the alfoil rub stage could be rewarding. The bottled lemon juice was a dud, that's for certain in this case. :D
