I'm just a metal detectorist finding all types of metal in the long run, the shape and form of things is purely ephemeral any way, so saying, it is really a determination of what metals are present only, and ultimately.... some things are in the meantime just pretty to look at along the road travelled.
One day soon, i am going to master the use of a furnace in order to reduce some of my metallic finds into stackable bars.
I'd much rather see a wall of bars(maybe not the lead unless I was to.paint seal it for safety..... gold paint lol) :p .... than to cash them in for way less than their real value.
Wall.of bars, or gone for good..... I'll take the wall for sure from here on in.
Some things do make your heart flutter though when you find them hey ! :D
Bars to have.
Gold
Silver
Brass
Aluminium
Lead
Recon PET Plastic in melted bulk is probly really worth more for personal use in the long run too... imagine the uses there. ;)
Better than 10c a bottle.

I think you're confusing it with Latex or Silicone Silver :playful:

Sexy PET lol..... I was thinking the PET and the aluminium could be the geodesic dome one day, the big back yard dome garden :p (pipe dreams most likely at this end of life now though) :D (probly go with the sexy PET lol)

50% silver is still good.
Harsh life in the ground for that one

Silver, try plenty of fresh lemon juice and bicarb mixture while gently rubbing with a folded pad of alfoil.... the mixture will start to turn blackish as the oxides dissolve away.

Thanks OzzieAu, I tried with bottled lemon juice from the fridge first(didn't really get to the loose black stage with that).

So, I went and got the largest green lemon on the tree
1639890110_screenshot_20211219-145819_gallery.jpg

Cutting it in half and sliced it a little to insert the coin for a while
