Sweet the 1942M had a mintage of 524,000 but the S and D were 16 and 24 million.
All the old ones are great finds. Here is my collection of 1942 M, S and D coins in AU58 because it's called an Everyman's collection. Means the coins must have been in circulation and not mint state hence AU58 which is about uncirculated.

Sometimes tap water seems to grey them.

This was metho sprayed and Rubbed then metho and cotton tip, then me hand cleaner and water as usual.

I'll have to find two coins together to see if there is a real difference though. :D

Just stole that windows of time, should've, would'a, could'a done other things, but did find two :p

Might'a touched that 44 down low there, heard the scrape sound and the coin was there under the point of entry once I dug and saw it.
