A few relics from up in the hills.

So far there's some in the wifes pot plants, some have gone into the little nephews and nieces craft projects and in the future I'd like to make a mosaic sort of panel to go behind the fireplace cos they seem to hold heat well.

Lortone 33b. Not real cheap but pretty much bullet proof. Doesn't fit a lot in the barrels but I've found you're better off separating different types of rocks to get a better finish.
Went through a few of the drive o-rings when I first got it but aligned the pulleys a bit better and all good now.

Got one tiny bit of petrified tree fern too, it's still in the tumbler. Was nice easy digging after a wet winter but damn hard to tell what the rocks were when they were covered in sticky clay. Bought a couple of buckets full home for a couple of cups of keepers!

Mrs S is jelly of the agates soon as I showed her, cause she has no energy to get out and look herself atm(plus it's nightime lol) :p

nice agates you have there dave
i have a lortone as well ,not cheap but verry good ,i run a different barrel for each grit ,far less chance of cross contaminating the grits

if you are finding it hard to clean them dave i have another barrel that i use soap in it to clean the stones before i start polishing them, i leave them in the barrel for 1 day i have found that the lux washing powder works the best, a level teaspoon full to a 3lb barrel,
they come out clean and smell pretty to
