I shall call this one the Phoenix76 hunt. Added some value to my scrap metal fund! ;)

Did a bit of experimenting today. Went back to a little beach that I've been over a couple of times at hyperactive dog walking speed and found a couple of predecimals and a medallion. This time I gridded it and went real slow. I missed. ....

Interestingly the thrippy was a steady 15 on the Nox so might have been standing up on it's edge. Other than that I reckon the equinox is a pretty Damn good high speed coin hunter.
With that sorted I went back to cherry picking and got my oldest coin so far.

Well done mate thrippies give 2 ids depending on their year ..15 and 22 from memory . :Y:
I'd never noticed but now that you mention it, it was a 50 percent one (47) and I usually dig 15s unless I've got an impatient dog with me.

Nothing special but I haven't found much much jewelry so I'm happy. Pretty sure its solid silver and any silver is good. Gold is better but no luck on that front yet. Keep digging ghost signals that the Nox gives me on old tailings piles round here. Even tried panning some stuff from where the ghosts came up with no luck.
