I'm a complete newbie and willing to take all the advice and help I can be given! My partner has decided to get into gold prospecting and Im the tag-along buddy. He is more interested in trying to find gold but I think I am more interested in gemstones and mica... I like to do a bit of art in my spare time and have found that you can use mica to make gold paint and thought that sounded kinda cool to be able to do... and I just love shiny coloured rocks haha.
We are lucky enough to live in the NSW side of the Snowy Mountains and apparently there are places to fossick locally but we have only attempted a few times and no luck.
Even if we have zero luck I am still excited as this gives me more camping opportunities and to be outside, in the bush in general
