there were no home invasions in Australia way back then when people were allowed to have firearms in the house, it is the governments that turned us in to a bunch of softies and telling us that the authorities would protect us

More likely no home invasions because young ones had respect and weren't high on drugs. Firearms in our homes wouldn't stop what is going on today. Yankee land is a perfect example of a ruined society.
