hard enough getting a vehicle up down and up this ramp let alone a trailer & boat .... only nearby alternative is Pt. Campbell Jetty hoist (no ramp).

Just a crap job reversing by the looks of things ..... if he can afford a rig like that he can afford the repairs ..... or maybe take up golf.

Why would he have the winch rope loose????

When we used to water ski we would disconnect winch but it was on carpet runners not rollers and back down beside others launching their boat and start the boat as it hit the water and be gone in 30 seconds.
We often wondered what would be if we hit the brakes half way down the ramp.

We also backed trailer down and drove boat fully on trailer and keep throttle on until trailer was out of water as the ute driver pulled back out and be gone in 30 seconds again .

Good fun watching people taking 30 minutes on ramp and we just wham bam see ya later.

Yep father inlaws van was near boat ramp , many good bbqs and beers got had watching the show provided, i think 30 odd attempts to reverse was the record and then one of our party went and backed it in for them.
