This solid brass doorknob could tell a few stories.

I brought a dead gum branch home that was sounding off on the detector.... with no external holes or splits.
Cut it open after pinpointing the signal and this lead slug was stuck inside. :eek:

I found a similar one but crustier in a ghost town that was only around from 1880 to 1910 if that helps.
