[QUOTE="Aussie Detecting, post: 1124, member: 8"] Well it's been bit of a hot spell. Rain, ripper. Let's face it when your out sluicing & panning you get wet anyway. So rain won't hurt. I went out to the favourite spot armed with an idea. I've been getting fine gold with a few little chunks on the lower slope of the dam. So my theory was, the heavier bigger bits will be higher up trapped in the crevices? Worth a shot & a pan. So it only took 2 test pans to see the change of consistency of the bigger bits. I spent 2 hrs in the rain & managed a few bits & a nice gem stone.
