Chased this 12" trout, stalking him for over an hour before nailing him after sunset.

Despite valiant acrobatics, this one did not get away.

Sorry to say, but I think it is way too small for you to eat, send it down here to feed my six year old please....

They are a lovely fish to look at, caught one years ago spinning in a lake, around 14", I was so stoked, never caught a trout since, but it was a great memory and meal too.

I think I spent 3 hours flipping lures, well worth it.

:Y:

Nice catch.

This one made me work hard for it & of course I did not bring the fly rod.

Waited til it went sub surface to feed & it smashed the lure hard.

Sometimes you just need to wait for opportunity & nail it.

The mere mention of KGW's sends my wife into a frenzy.

I look forward to seeing the pics. Hope you get some stonkers!

At the mention of KGWS my favourite Fish here are a few of my stonkers from out East of Esperance town at a secret spot, the ice box is just under 50cm wide from memory the biggest was a little shy of 58cm most others were 50 plus all caught in 2m of water
