It looks like a hanger but there's not much room to get to the hook. Something like a key hanger perhaps?

It looks as though I’ve come across a relic site of sorts on one of our local beaches.... going from the stuff I’m digging up.
Our tides have been moving a lot of sand and exposing some building rubble, probably early 1900’s beach shelters.
There’s square copper nails, pre decimal coins, buttons and even part of a snake buckle. Very unusual for beach finds.
Anyway I hope it doesn’t get sanded in, ‘cos I reckon there’s more there.... a sov would do :p

Unfortunately my beach spot where I dug the above coins and relics has been sanded over by some rough seas, so it’s a matter of waiting for another opportunity to arise..:(
I couldn’t help trying to clean up the snake buckle end... man that green corrosion was as hard as powder coating after 100 years in the salt.

This GPO button was from the said spot also..

Someone will be crying in their beer after losing this at the beach.
It’s a 1960/70’s Dunhill Rolagas lighter.
It is heavy and was found in soft white sand on the towel line, so when dropped it would have disappeared instantly.
It sounded off like a coke can when I swung over it.

If you're a non-smoker now's the perfect time to take it up

I’ve recently returned from an overseas trip to Europe and got out for a play with the Legend thanks to a fine break in the shitty weather.
I managed to pull a couple of nice targets from a very trashy spot that I revisited.
WW1 Victory medallion gifted to school kids in 1919.
