Its official the new name for the next Tesoro Detector is Cazador.

It was released on the Tesoro Facebook Page.

My guess it's a replacement for the Lobo ST , but this time it will be a multi use unit to compete with Fisher & Garretts best gold machines as well ;)

For those who have never tried a Tesoro ' they are a great easy to use detector without the BS !

Found my first 5 bits of gold with the tesoro dingo. Biggest
Mistake was selling it. Tesoro are also one of the very few that
Have a discriminator the crackles or misses screw caps.

I believe this new machine may be the next electronic coin
Shooter. If tesoro built a gold pi they would get it right and
May shake the competition.

Next generation of Tesoros need to be black not brown. The future
Rests in what they launch next.

Yep the Dingo was nice :)

As far as i can remember going back to 95 the umax
was never Promoted as a gold detector. I kept in constant
Dialogue with David Bishop who knew his stuff. In saying
this the khz on the dingo I think was higher which was about
16khz or 17. The dingo with the 6" dd widescan coil Was
deadly on .1 grammers with a clear zap zap tone an inch
or so from the ground.

It amuses me today to see people walking around with a
6k machine with small coil going for similar sized objects
Detecting these at same or slightly deeper depths.

Not sure what the Dingo is in kHz but the Diablo Umax is 17.8 kHz , the guy who designed both ( Dave Johnson ) said that the D Umax was his all time favourite gold detector , it can see through hot rocks !

I just did a quick search online.

Apparently this machine was introduced early 1990's then the same platform was used for the Dingo and Lobo platforms.

Frequency of the dingo was as high if I can remember right.

Its strange. Gold rings, gold nuggets I found were all with a Tesoro.

I think if Tesoro built a PI Gold machine they would get it right.

I own the Teknetics G2 which Dave Johnson designed. Its a very nice detector to use.

I remember swapping posts on a US forum with Dave Johnson once , when talking about his Diabo Umax he said don't ask if I'd sell it ~ I Never will ! :D

The Tek G2 has got a good reputation .
