New GPZ?

Just seeing if anyone has heard the little rumour that there might be a new GPZ successor dropping very soon.
It would be due TBH.
Although the price might hurt a little.

I believe the GPZ 7000 was introduced in 2015. Is around 7-8 years a likely Minelab model lifespan? Maybe, although the GPX 6000 appears to be selling like hot cakes, which should be keeping the dealers happy, even if their GPZ sales have slackened over time.

What extra features are on GPZ users' wishlists? Better ergonomics is probably #1, but pairing those bulky, heavy coils with a lightweight body might be something of a design challenge.

The advances in microprocessors and their processing speeds will definitely bring an advantage. I guess we will know for sure what the deal is in a couple days.

If it's true, and it probably is, I would definitely wait and see before diving into one.

I've thought for a while that the combined technologies and ergonomics of both the GPZ 7000 and the GPX 6000 should, where possible, produce an excellent GPZ 8000.

Well folks, as you have probably already heard, it seems the Equinox is getting the upgrade, not the 7000. Which TBH I find a bit strange. But it is what it is.
