Hi all, I will be buying a 6000 soon and was wondering if there's a best place to purchase from. Do any of the dealers do sweeteners or do they all charge the same 7999 + 17 inch coil extra. I'm in adelaide and there is a miners den but I will be in victoria soon as well. Any advice will be welcomed. Thanks peter

Shop local and get to know your dealer ..... build a relationship.

Price for detector is set by Minelab so sadly no reduction in price ....

BUT, most dealers, especially if you're a repeat customer of their WILL offer a discount on some related item, some may trow in a little freebie.

If coming from SA, E E Day in Ballarat is worth checking out, do all my "shopping" there these days.

Nenad, is in SA, I have dealt with him before, and his service is as good if not better than any service I have dealt with , in any form of retail.
Go with Phasetech.

Sunday night I ordered a 12x7 Exceed for my wife's 6000 and a Sadie 8x5 for my 5000 from Phase Technical. Thought that there may be a delay with the Exceed as all others sellers seem to be either back order or no longer taking orders until they become more freely available. Got an email Monday afternoon to say both had been posted and arrived this morning, if AusPost was more efficient they would been here yesterday. Big thanks to Nenad.

I prefer to shop locally. If we want to have products available in our local communities then we have to support them. If we continue to buy from the bigger dealers for a few dollars saving then the small local suppliers go out of business and we lose in the end.

Shop local where you can, the little spent on the initial purchase is not much to pay in the long run. How often do we complain about the loss of the local newsagent, butcher, hardware or other stores. They all need our support to remain available to us.

i try to shop local but when it is about $600.00 yes $600.00 difference for a single part it makes it hard
the part in question landed here for $350.00 genuine toyota part
generic part from local so called parts specialist $945.00, then they wonder why you don't shop local, their excuse is but what about the freight but i did pay freight to get the genuine part here

yet on the other hand when i travel to the gem fields here in qld i top up at gracemere, then fill up at sapphire
the fuel is cheaper than emerald ,and i also get my bread, milk and veges there as well (look after the little local )
it is usually a return trip by the end of the week to replenish the bread ,milk and veges

We have a duplex in Geraldton that I've seen once when I dropped in to get my Jason Recliner but didn't shop there. We do a big shop in Perth every three or four months but in between all our grocery items are bought in Cue. Almost all my prospecting gear comes from The Prospectors Pick in Bunbury because we used to live nearby and I like to stick to a good supplier when I find one.
