i just thought id put a pic up of my dinner tonight..A 22kg spanish mackerel i caught yesterday just out the front of Rainbow Beach..i do love catchiing these, its always going to be big fight..

Never caught any thing like that but as we all have experienced many have have lost them beside the boat where they have shaken the hook off!!!!

i was lucky with this spaniard, i hooked up to a small reefy on the bottom and he decided to grab it and the hook grabbed hold right in the corner of the spaniards mouth which meant it kept the mono trace away from his teeth...we normally troll lures with wire trace for these so it was an unusual catch being caught so deep..it ate well too, plenty of fillets on it..
