I'm making another infinity cube coffee table, bigger this time, 775 x 555 x 555, and 50x50x2 steel tube, just ordered the glass for the top and it will probably be next year now to get that, but that's ok.

yes, I agree, the first one was ok, but the 50x50 latest one looks great, can't wait to get the smokey grey glass for the top

yes when you look as the prices they are asking for them on websites they are expensive.

mind you there is nearly 10metres of 50x50 tube in this one almost $120 worth and about $60 or so for paint and it takes about 8 hours to cut and make and clean it ready to paint

but yes maybe the occasional one to test the market, we'll see

I decided to give this coffee table cube a bit of extra sparkle and tried some gold marbling paint on the black, and then a clear gloss to finish it all off.

Project completed, the glass top is fitted in place now and it looks ok.

thanks Simmo, and yes it gives me something to do while in between detecting trips

anyone that wants to have a crack at making one for themselves the material is 50x50x2 SHS (square tube)

and the lengths and angles all 45deg to cut just be careful as a few are right and left handed just follow the picture below

the paint I used was Dulux brand grey etch primer, full gloss black and Dulux Duramax marble effects gold and then a full gloss clear over the lot, all from bunnings
