Kato and I take a 140km trip to check on last years Anzac Day project.
Some may remember that Kato found a WW2 RAS badge, a few years ago.
She researched it and that led her to a very long path of discovery, finally bringing us to speak to family members.
This saga has still not completed.
In a way it bonded us to the recipient of the badge, and we decided to expand this to respect all those that served and are buried
at the Murray Bridge Adelaide Road Cemetery.

So on Sunday we took another road trip to visit the Cemetery and check on our work, assess the standard and do a some more headstones.
Bonus for Kato, more driving hours on her learners permit.
We arrived and it was hot, really hot and a bit humid.
Checking the Monument we were amased at the result, below are before and after pics, 9 months and the Marble is very clean, all that had to be
done was to use a stiff brush to remove dried and dead bits from weather protected surfaces. Just as described by our Veterans Affairs friend.
You can't touch the lettering it is so fragile, but we are working on that problem too.
However the flat surfaces or area's where the lettering has already gone are fair game, mild scrubbing with a soft bristle brush, mild bleach, rinse,
apply approved chemicals and leave.
Some results are just outstanding.
Now was it worth it ?
YES, in every way, it is fulfilling work, and does not take much effort, by Anzac Day this year we should be done with the 80 marble headstones,
and dozens of the basic bronze plaques.
