Can I ask you Phil, how long do a set of those tyres last you. I have Toyo tyres on the camper trailer and after a trip around oz in 2007 they still have plenty of meat on them-keep them outa the sun under the house.

Hi moneybox, do you think the 5000 is better than the 6000
The 6000 is capable of finding smaller gold and at good depth too however I'm still not convinced that it's better all round. I sold one GPX4500 and one SDC2300 but I still love the 4500 and it has found a lot more gold than anything else so for now it's still an active gold detector. The 6000 is a very noisy machine and I don't like that. It can be tamed quite a bit by fitting the 14"DD but then if you are working in a tight area such as a gully you'll likely miss a lot of targets with the RH side of this coil and it's pain to have to turn around and rework it in the opposite direction.

Not quite relevant to this thread but your Toyos are about the best tyre out there. I'm stuck with a few less popular tyre brands because of the size. Until this last lot of Hankooks I had to import my own. Even the Hankooks were imported from China by a non-Hankook Queensland dealer. We've never worn out a set of tyres on this bus and we've had two sets of six Interco tyres, a couple of BF Goodrich bought on the road, a set of six Bias ply tyres, and a set of six Hankooks. All of these tyres have been within their load and speed rating part from the BFG tyres that were overloaded and self destructed very quickly. Apart from the Hankooks all the tyres are running right on their maximum limit but then fail on the highway in the heat of summer, usually well over 40°C. The latest tyres that I'm fitting have a considerable margin before hitting their weight limit. They also have a lower sidewall that might help reduce heat build up.
