G'Day Guy's,
Well I do suppose it time to introduce myself and yes I'm having fun finding gold on my farm, I've designed and made a 6" Jaw crusher and after pounding the rocks with a sledge hammer first the jaw crusher does crush the rocks nicely but it does suffer from stalling due to belt slip mainly.
I'm going to convert it to a chain drive and recently scored a 300mm length of 250mm thick wall pipe, my first thought was to make a ball mill but a shaker rod mill type mill but using balls seems the way to go.
This is all run from a 10 hp motor in the frame I fabricated up so it is portable and when I get this design finished it will be a great tool to crush the rocks I find on the farm.
Anyway guy's glad to be a part of this forum and looking forward to read some of the threads.
Cheers Bryan
