Fishing And Detecting

For anyone who might be interested I posted a comment on how I've found detecting not unlike fishing. I'm pretty good at finding fish and I'm slowly getting better at finding gold. I've been fishing seriously for well over 40 years and detecting for 2 years, I don't think I've got enough time for one to catch up to the other. Anyway it's in the Fishing part. Cheers Dave

Yep ....... you get a bite (fishing)...... you get a beep (prospecting)....... is it a tiddler (fishing)....... is it 0.01 grammer (prospecting)...... could be an stinking toady (fishing) .......is it more f@rkin lead shot (prospecting).
Either way ......... a good day isn't that common these days .... but worth celebrating with a beer. :beer:

In the Brisbane River we get a lot of Catfish and the occasional Bream but it's still fun. I only have to walk about 50 mtrs and I'm on the riverbank. Sort of heaven.....
