Guys collect the coins you want too, not for the value of the coin. Reality is the coins are worth no more what the next person is prepared to pay.
I have thousands of Uncirculated coins that I have collected and when I approached a well known dealer he offered little more then face value for them. It would appear that when every new coin that comes out the dealers purchase huge stocks of them and drip feed them out to make it appear that there are few of them about.
Enjoy building your collections
cheers db

True, it's nice to know you have them when you find them.
I just want a few nice sets sitting in the cupboard when I go, knowing that I found the best examples that I could. I think on occasions that if my own parents had of saved the best examples they could find to swap out for a great collection, instead of just keeping a few willy nilly..... well you can imagine the difference hey, so, because I know better due to circumstances of insight, I am endeavouring to do what they did not, within my own current sphere of possibilities.
I also know that my 1968 1c peices are only valued at 1c to me.
My entire collection is while in my possession only current face value, and falling with inflation(as it is real money) :p

Funny that you can see inflation at work in times of old there, because pennies were once silver, then went down to copper.
Still nice looking for its age deepblue. :D
