Carrying Detector On A Trail Bike.

Has anyone carried a detector on a trail bike. I want to use my bike but don't fancy the idea of holding the 7000 with a 19" coil across the handlebars crashing up and down with every bump or rock I hit, as I try to protect it from any knocks or bumps etc. Any advice on where to stick it? LOL. (on the bike that is!) wiley.

Saw a prospector the other day running around the station on an Ag bike and he had his 7000 on a rack behind his seat pointing directly to the rear, coil rear most. He had both the 14" and 19" coils attached in seperate times I saw him. Sorry, didn't get a photo.

Sling your detector like a rifle, box up near your head and coil folded flat down near your leg.
Used this method for years on my Suzuki 125, never a problem.

Dismantle it and put it in a decent size backpack, I do it all the time on a bike.
